our Farm story
1st Generation Family-Owned Business
Falls City Gardens is the shared dream of Zack and Victoria Orr We are first-generation farming family proud to call the Magic Valley in southern Idaho our home. Zack grew a desire to grow his own food while deployed to Iraq and Kuwait. Upon Zack’s return from the middle east, we started our first garden. Since this first garden we have grown a passion for small scale sustainable agriculture and the local food movement.
Falls City Gardens was established in 2017, we rented a couple plots at the CSI community garden and through hard work, we purchased our farm at the end of the 2017 season. Going into our fourth season we are excited to bring Fresh Local Produce to the Magic Valley, This year we will also be focusing on food insecurity and what we can do to help those whom are less fortunate through fresh donations and community education!
What is Falls City?
Whats in a name? When deciding to what to call our operation we racked our brains trying to come up with something that was catchy but not cheesy. Growing up in the Magic Valley we knew about all of water falls located in close proximity to Twin Falls, and decided that Twin Falls is the Falls City. With that our name was born!
